Cubetoons is a webcomic, made by artist and humorist under the pen name JKR (author of Fred the Monkey.com), which first appeared on video game/entertainment website IGN and has since become a regular feature. Cubetoons eventually got its own website at http://www.cubetoons.com. In addition to the webcomic, the site features video game reviews, comics, art tutorials, and a forum. The site is updated weekly.

Cubetoons first appeared on IGN's GameCube [1] page in January 2005 and are updated on IGN Wii [2], Cubetoons.com was launched in February 2006. The comic follows the antics of characters Matt Casamassina, Craig Harris, and other IGN staff members. The comics deal with video games of all types, as well as technology, art, and general gaming.

Cubetoons are updated and posted to the IGN Wii frontpage every Friday.

The Cubetoons website offers:

Back catalog of all the comics; Comments on current affairs by the Cubetoons staff; Occasional independant Video Game reviews; Art/Cartoon tutorials by JKR; A Forum covering:

   Nintendo/Microsft/Sony/PC/Other Discussions
   Art for Review: A section dedicated to member's own artwork

   Fred The Monkey: Associated Cartoon, also made by JKR, which should have its own Wiki entry.

Cubetoons has approximately 400 members signed up to its Forums. (Nov, 2006)

The Cubetoons website was once hacked by an individual claiming his name to be "John Anthony", and was down for several days. However, it was restored on 15th August 2006 after being moved to a new host.

	Craig Harris (AKA Craig-A-Roo)	Editor of IGN DS, and seems to be the butt of many jokes. Seen here and here
	Fran Mirabella III (Frangoat)	First seen here but is not mentioned by name, was first called Frangoat here
	JKR	Creator of Cubetoons, makes several appearances in different strips, usually seen wearing a shirt with "JKR" written on it.
	Douglass C. Perry	The editor of IGN360, he makes a few rare appearances in Cubetoons comics. Around the office of IGN, people call him "Captain Insane-O"
	Peer Schneider	An evil figure in Cubetoons, he seldomly appears. Can see through solid wood.
	Satoru Iwata	The president of Nintendo, he also appears in numerous comics, as a parental figure to Shigeru.
	Shigeru Miyamoto	An esteemed game creator, he is the maker of the Mario and Zelda franchises, among others. Often depicted as a little kid, in the comics he is hinted at being slightly unstable. He appears in numerous Cubetoons comics.
