Yessir! You posted in the right spot, showed history of vandalism and justified it. Great job! The only other thing I would suggest doing would be to suggest the block limit. Generally, if the user has never been blocked before, then a 24 hour block is standard. If the user has had a 24 hour block, then suggest a 48 hour. Then a 72 hour, then a week, etc. Way to RC Patrol, and keep up the good work!! Kntrabssi 08:01, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Vandals
What I am doing is not vandlaism.
- Removing Bob Barker's name and link from all of the Price is Right Games pages for no apparent reason is considered vandalism in my opinion, especially after your recent vandalism exposed your apparent motivation. If you believe that there is a reason that Bob Barker should not be mentioned on pages featuring his image, I'd like to hear your reasoning. Csjoiner 03:46, 26 February 2006 (UTC)

- Actually, It's me again, using a different IP. That edit has nothing ot do with the name removal, instead, I like how my edits are, and there is no reason to link to Bob in every single article, If you have the time to, please revert back to those versions.

- I disagree for the following reasons: Each article should be thought of as a stand-alone article... not part of a group of articles. Therefore, it is possible that someone reading about one of the games might not know about Bob Barker and might wish to learn more by following the link. Secondly, I'm obviously not alone in this thought, since I only reverted one of your edits. The rest were done by someone else. Thirdly, you edited my response to your statement (above) to remove the link to Bob Barker's page, which makes me even more suspicious that your motivations are related to vandalism and finally, your edit history and talk pages reveal a history of vandalism. I will not be undoing my reverts or anyone else's. (FYI: Your IP address has not changed.)Csjoiner 04:01, 26 February 2006 (UTC)

- I was the one who reverted the others... it took me about 45 minutes! I agree with your reasioning. Though I did feel like a detective, following someone who made all of these edits. I feel that this user is vandalous. — Ian Manka Talk to me‼ 04:05, 26 February 2006 (UTC)

Furthermore, I feel that the user is User:Takes1-Tuno1 (contribs) and User:24.217.177.188 (contribs). The contributions are similar, and they both show a history of vandalism... especially the anon. The anon is definitely him, just minutes before The Price Is Right Pricing Games changes he made a multitude of other changes related to Bob Barker, and blanked other user pages... What do you think? [edit] He's baaaack...
Vandal 24.207.210.139 (contribs) did some TPIR edits, then vanished... just be on the lookout. — Ian Manka Talk to me‼ 23:45, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Helpdesk/misc
When you archived Aug 4-7, my answer to a question got removed do CTRL+F and look for 'serge'. When I tried to restore it I was told it was blocked by the spam filter, but the URL listed in the edit warning isn't on the spam filter. Can you help/explain/etc? Thanks in advance. --Anchoress 00:19, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
- When I tried to archive August 4-7, it gave me the same message - that the URL was listed in the spam filter. I was unable to archive the page without removing that URL. I mistakenly assumed that it was spam, but clearly I should have checked to see if the link contained an actual answer to the question before removing it. I have replied to your (new) post with a tinyurl link to the webpage you references. I am not an admin, so I cannot explain why the link is blocked. -- C. S. Joiner (talk) 00:36, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the response and for the fix. Over and out. Anchoress 00:57, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
