CrystEngComm is a peer-reviewed scientific journal publishing original (primary) research and review articles on all aspects of crystal engineering including properties, polymorphism, target materials and new or improved techniques and methods. CrystEngComm is published monthly by the Royal Society of Chemistry.

The editor of CrystEngComm is Dr Jamie Humphrey and the present chairman of the Editorial Board is Dr Lee Brammer, from the University of Sheffield, UK. The Editorial Board comprises leading international scientists who meet regularly to discuss all scientific matters concerned with the Journal; in particular the standards necessary for the acceptance of papers for publication, the standards of refereeing, and ways and means of acquiring suitable papers for publication.

The 2005 impact factor for CrystEngComm is 3.508. [citation needed]

Authors submitting papers to CrystEngComm are encouraged to use full colour, movies and animated graphics to enhance their articles. CrystEngComm offers fast publication of research findings.

Significant and newsworthy articles appearing in CrystEngComm are also featured in the RSC supplements Chemical Science, Chemical Technology and Chemical Biology. CrystEngComm hosts the RSC publication, Chemical Technology.

CrystEngComm has a close assocation with the virtual web community, CrystEngCommunity.
