Cryptovirus (genus Rubulavirus) is a novel human virus which has been found to cause a spectrum of neurological symptoms in experimentally-infected animals. Clinical and molecular evidence indicates that this virus is involved in the development of a spectrum of neurological disorders that include chronic fatigue syndrome, multiple sclerosis, and idiopathic epilepsy.
