Cryptofolklore

Cryptofolklore is the collection, archiving, and analysis of unusual oral history, generally in the areas of paranormal activity such as ghost stories, supernatural legends, and long dead eccentrics such as Emperor Norton of San Francisco.

The term crypto means unknown or secret.
