Crypt of Medea is a 1984 interactive_fiction video game for the Apple II that was developed by Sir-Tech. It is one of the early text-based adventure games to make use of graphics, although it still relies exclusively on text commands for input.

[edit] Plot

The game begins with the player trapped inside Medea's crypt, and the goal is to find a way out. However, the crypt is also filled with a variety of enemies and traps that the player must avoid in order to survive. The player can also find many useful items within the crypt. One or more of these items is often the key to solving puzzles or defeating creatures that block the player's path.

[edit] Trivia

  • Despite being named in the title, Medea is not actually present in the game in any physical form. In fact, the only mention of Medea within the game is in a letter from her that the player can choose to read.
