Craig McMaster attended the Glasgow Academy prior to heading off to Glasgow Caledonian University where he became a Building Surveyor with special interests in the aesthetics of buildings. This interest carried on into later life where he began firstly to draw and then the photograph some of the more prevalant constructions around his Glasgow home. His in depth appreciation of the mechanics of construction have helped him appreciate the properties from a differing angle than most and makes most of his work quite unique and surprising.

His work has offered a vaulable insight into the life of Glasgow from high society to lower echelons of the City. As he not only features the properties of the City but the scar or mark that is placed on it by its inhabitants.

Craig McMaster was born on the 14th June 1973 and is a keen amateur footballer with Eaglesham Amateurs to the south of Glasgow. He now lives in Renfrewshire with his wife and daughter.
