Croydon Caving Club
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Croydon Caving Club was founded in 1964. Despite the name Croydon Caving Club is not totally represented by members living in Croydon. Members are scattered across the country, Plymouth, Bristol, Tetbury, Redhill and Chiswick for example.
The club owns a cottage, Godre Pentre, situated in Ystradfellte in the Brecon Beacons, South Wales.
A detailed programme of the majority of club activities is published free to members in the club magazine "Pelobates", and is also available online. Non-caving activities include a summer babecue, Bonfire Night and an annual Christmas dinner.
As well as many organised caving weekends at the club cottage there are many other weekend trips organised to other caving areas in the UK, such as Mendip Hills, Peak District and Forest of Dean.
