Crosby, Ontario

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Crosby, Ontario, is a community in the Canadian province of Ontario, situated between Newboro, Elgin and Portland in the Township of Rideau Lakes. The sum of the town is a marina named Browns Bay, a flea market and several residential areas. There used to be a gas station, but it burnt down under conditions of suspected arson, and there was a small computer shop in the garage in a residential home belonging to the Johnston clan.

Crosby also is situated on a large fish reservoir, known as The Bog. Bear trappers often set up in the winter on several of the small islands. There are also several trails around the Bog, with older 19th century buildings, including an old cottage and a barn that collapsed in 1995 due to excessive gunfire by a drunken party of men.
