Croatian Third League

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Croatian Third League (Treća hrvatska nogometna liga) is the third tier of football leagues in Croatia.

Within the third tier there are five leagues: Central, North, South, East and West. Each of these is comprised of sixteen or seventeen teams. At the end of each season, the bottom teams are relegated to the regional leagues while the winners of each league enter a playoff for entrance to the Second League.

The league was formed in 1991 with the dissolution of the Yugoslav League. It is operated by the Croatian Football Federation.
