Cristina's music epitomises the No Wave genre established by ZE Records in New York circa 1980, which was itself a crucial link between punk music, post-punk, and what was to become Garage music. She herself was an important and influential player in this - as well as being Michael Zilkha's wife, her recordings involved key figures such as August Darnell. Clearly notable in my view.
