Crixivan

(Indinavir sulfate) is a protease inhibitor from Merck and Co., Inc. It is part of HAART (Highly Active Anti-Retroviral Therapy) that reduces the viral load of HIV and raises CD4 (T) cell counts in some patients. It was approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on December 17, 1998.
