Criton M. Zoakos

Criton M. Zoakos is president and founder of Leto Research, LLC, a Virginia based economic consulting firm. As such, Zoakos is a consultant and analyst to many of Wall Street’s largest hedge funds and institutional investors. A former Senior Policy Analyst at Polyconomics, Inc. and founder of its emerging markets analytical service, Global 2000, Zoakos is the author of numerous studies of political cultures in Europe and the Middle East. Earlier, he worked with Norman A. Bailey, Inc. of Washington, D.C., a firm headed by Dr. Bailey, formerly President Reagan’s Special Assistant for International Economic Affairs at the National Security Council.

Many of Criton Zoakos's research papers have been frequently published in The International Economy, The Wall Street Journal, The Eurasian Report, The New York Times, The Washington Times, Asia Times, Manager magazine of Thailand, and other publications.

Zoakos holds a Master’s Degree in Philosophy and completed his Ph.D. studies at The School of Philosophy of the Catholic University of America. He has an undergraduate degree in Economics from City College of New York and has done post-graduate work at the Universities of Hamburg and Cologne, Germany. He also serves as an advisor to select policy institutions and foundations in Washington, DC, notably the International Economic Policy Group of the Potomac Foundation of McLean, Virginia.
