Criterion Gallery

Criterion Gallery is a commercial gallery with a focus on contemporary Australian and New Zealand art. Located in Hobart, Tasmania (Australia) the gallery draws on the rich knowledge base and experiences of practicing artists living in Tasmania, many being staff members of the University of Tasmania School of Art.

Criterion Gallery opened in April 2004, with it's first exhibition by Tasmanian artist Megan Keating. Since then Criterion has continued to exhibit some of the most contemporary art available in Tasmania by bringing in established Australian mainland artists as well as emerging contemporary artists from New Zealand.

Artists represented by Criterion include: Richard Bell, Matt Calvert, Adam Geczy, Anthony Lister, Neil Haddon, Sara Hughes, Megan Keating, Geoff Parr, Mary Scott, Regan Tamanui, Andrew Curtis, Gregor Kregar, Pat Brassington, Christopher Langton, Neil Emmerson and Scott Redford.
