Crests (Digimon)

In Digimon Adventure, crests were used to allow the digimon that belonged to the digidestined to digivolve into the ultimate level. They also allowed Tai and Matt to digivolve to their Mega Levels. The Crests are, Courage, Friendship, Love, Knowledge, Sincerity, Reliability, Hope, Light and Kindness. In the second series, called Digimon Adventure 02 (or zero two in Japan) the crests were put on the Digi-Eggs, which allowed the new 'ancient' Digimon to digivolve to the next Level via armor digivolving . After Kimeramon was destroyed along with the digimon emperors base, Ken Ichijouji, who vowed to never become the digimon emperor again, got the crest of kindness after the dark spore inside of him had been deactivated.

Found by Tai in the back of a cave. Used to digivolve Greymon into his ultimate form MetalGreymon. It was later found on the Digi-egg of Courage which belonged to Davis. This digi-egg allowed his partner Veemon to armour-digivolve into Flamedramon.

Found by Matt in a well near to Piximon's portal. Used to digivolve Garurumon into his ultimate form WereGarurumon. It was later found on the Digi-egg of Friendship which also belonged to Davis. This digi-egg allowed his partner Veemon to armour-digivolve into Raidramon.

Found by Sora, which was originally in the possession of Datamon. Used to digivolve Birdramon into her ultimate form Garudamon. It was later found on the Digi-egg of Love which belonged to Yolei. This digi-egg allowed her partner Hawkmon to armour-digivolve into Halsemon.

Found by Mimi in a large cactus. Used to digivolve Togemon into her ultimate form Lillymon. It was later found on the Digi-egg of Sincerity which also belonged to Yolei. This digi-egg allowed her partner Hawkmon to armour-digivolve into Shurimon

Found by Izzy in a well near to Piximon's portal. Used to digivolve Kabuterimon into his ultimate form Megakabuterimon. It was later found on the Digi-egg of Knowledge which belonged to Cody. This digi-egg allowed his partner Armadillomon to armour-digivolve into Digmon.

Found by Joe in an old amphitheatre. Used to digivolve Ikkakumon into his ultimate form Zudomon. It was later found on the Digi-egg of Reliability which also belonged to Cody. This digi-egg allowed his partner Armadillomon to armour-digivolve into Submarimon.

Found by T.K. blocking a passageway. Used to digivolve Angemon into his ultimate form MagnaAngemon. It was later found on the Digi-egg of Hope which belonged, like the original crest, to T.K. This digi-egg allowed his partner Patamon to armour-digivolve into Pegasusmon.

Found by Kari, which was originally in Wizardmon's possession. Used to digivolve Gatomon into her ultimate form Angewomon. It was later found on the Digi-egg of Light which belonged, like the original crest, to Kari. This digi-egg allowed her partner Gatomon into Nefertimon.

Found by Ken in the desert shortly after the digi-destined defeated him. It also appears on the Digi-egg of Kindness which allows his partner Wormmon to armour-digivolve into Pucchiemon.

The Tags are the items that held the Crests in the first series, worn around the digidestined's necks. They were originally hidden deep underwater by Devimon in an underwater convenience store, guarded by a Drimogemon, however, the digidestined were attacked by a Whamon who was infected with one of Devimon's black gears. After a battle in which he was freed, Whamon took them to said store as thanks for getting rid of the gear.
