[edit] Your wish finally came true; I'm an admin
I wasn't going to send thank-you cards, but the emotional impact of hitting WP:100 (and doing so unanimously!) changed my mind. So I appreciate your confidence in me (and willingness to nominate me long before I thought I was ready), and hope you'll let me know if I can do anything for you in the future. Cheers! -- nae'blis 22:23, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Portfolio for ArbCom
On Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee Elections December 2006/Summary table, I added a column "Examples" with links that exhibit a candidate's arbitration skills. My motivation is that as a voter, I don't want to just rely on a candidate's words, but also see their actions. Moreover, I believe a portfolio of "model cases" to remember in difficult situations can be useful for each candidate, as well.
So far I have entered examples for the candidates who registered first (from their questions page), and I'm not sure if and when I will get to yours, so you may want to enter an example or two yourself. — Sebastian (talk) 00:52, 4 December 2006 (UTC) (I stopped watching this page. If you would like to continue the talk, please do so here and let me know.)
[edit] RfA
I have only been blocked twice; this time was an accident; I was genuinely shocked to find that I had.
The first time was a broad interpretation of the ArbCom decision on Ultramarine. All involved editors were restricted in their conduct on two specific articles; Stifle blocked both of us, minimally, as a warning, for a dispute about one line in a third article. Neither of us had breached 3RR, or it would have been more than 90 minutes. Septentrionalis PMAnderson 18:22, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
- [assumes you posted this with a tabbed web browser on the wrong tab] Is this about your own RfA that finished some months ago? ~Crazytales56297 | t+c 18:26, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry, this was intended for Crazyrussian, about my new, and less than successful RfA ; I'm not sure how i got here. Septentrionalis PMAnderson 18:30, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Thanks!
Hey, Chris, I just noticed this note on the Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Archive45 page: "I'd like to butt in here and congratulate Merond e for being a civil editor. Good job. ~Chris Don't be evil. 17:15, 21 June 2006 (UTC)" I didn't notice it before, and I just want to say thanks for supporting me. I have been on Wikipedia a while now and can call myself an expert editor. I'm gonna go back to that reindeer article and see what I can do. --Merond e 10:27, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- No problem! I enjoy seeing civility. ~Crazytales56297 | t+c 01:25, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] archives
how long can one go until a new one needs to be started? because mine won't archive much (or hasn't lately) and I think its time for a new one. See you Wednesday at QuizBowl!--teh tennisman 01:20, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
- No specific length. Just check the size of your archive and change the target in the werdnabot template if it's over 35kb. ~Crazytales56297 | t+c 01:24, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
