[edit] Who I am

I am a amature computer programmer from the small town of Moab, Utah. Most of the programs I make, I release as freeware for download at www.winsite.com/. My most recent program is called JZc Bejeweled, a simple freeware version of the popular game bejeweled. Now when I first released it, I got messages on my website from end users accusing me of steeling PopCap Games code. This was false, and I programmed the entire game in Visual Basic 6 code from the ground up. I did not steal any of the code and I even made the images my self. I also own www.cheatsandreviews.com and www.jzcmedia.com, however I am looking to sell jzcmedia.com. I like every thing about computers and I admit I am a computer geek. My most recent vetures have been into developing freeware programs and additions to the Linux operating system. I have been using it for years, but I just started programming in it about 10 months ago. My current linux project will be be released under the GPL (general public license) and be free and open source. This project aims at making program installation on linux more user freindly for casual computer users who don't know how to go throug the hassle of the Linux command prompt. I am trying to make an installer that is as user friendly as possible, and when it is complete, I may contribute it to the Fedora Core project. It will work similar to the way that the install sheild works in Microsoft Windows, making the entire install proccess automated. That is of course asuming that the maker of the program being istalled designed it specificaly to work with the software I am programing. It wont work if they did it as a shell script like they are doing now, unless I put in a wizard that does all of the shell script and commands in the command prompt for you, which I am concidering. The aim of this project is to make linux more apealing to both developers of video games and profesional programs, and home users by making linux more user friendly for them. The final goal of this project is to make Linux, which is a free open source operating system, be on a competing level with Microsoft Windows in the home market. Linux is all ready on a competing level in the server market. I will continue to program free additions to the Linux operating system until it is as user friendly as both Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows or until Linux dies, which I doubt will ever happen. I mean, really... a free operating system. How can that ever fail.

[edit] What I did in High School

I attended Grand County High School in Moab, Utah until I graduated in 2006. In High School I was a member of FBLA, Sounds Grand (Choir), Shakespear Club and I did some Yearbook work. I was also the webmaster/designer for the High Schools website while attending. My design is still being used. I lettered in Sounds Grand, and placed in regions in FBLA Visual Basic programming as well as competed at the state level in Desktop Publishing. I will admit I was very lazy and was not very active in High School until my senior year. In my senior year, I programmed two games in VB. One as a class final in Computer Programming Class was my JZc Bejeweled game. The second was a First Person shooter which I was originally going to turn in as my final. However, I turned in JZc Bejeweled because of bugs and framerate probles with my First Person Shooter. However, I should have seen those problems comming with the FPS due to the fact that Visual Basic was not designed with 3D games in mind. This was the same year I lettered in Sounds Grand (Choir) and placed at region in VB Programming, which I did not compete in at the state level, I instead opted to compete in Desktop Publishing at the state level.
