Talk:Crawcrook
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I apologise for the recent vandalism of the article, which was the result of a dialogue between a local councillor and dissatisfied resident. He was the one who, not aware of the site's policy, began to use the article as a talk page, instead of placing any criticism here. I have added what my councillor would consider to be a balancing view. I hope this is satisfactory. Regards, Stephen (hedpeguyuk)
Hi there Stephen (hedpeguyuk), I presume who you thought was a "local councillor" was me! The person who criticised the first article as i felt it was too harsh on Crawcrook. I see now that I was stupid to pick up on things such as misssspeliing when instead I should have focused on factual matters. Also at that time this page did not have a tlk page or at least would not let me access one (something to do with being a stub I think)? I feel positively about Crawcrook the place where I live and was brought up and consequently defended it. Many thanks.
No worries, your additions to the article just coincided with correspondence I was having with a local councillor about the article and I jumped to conclusions, I'm sorry. The article was harsh (I'd hardly call the park a major crime scene, just neglected) but the neglect it receives from the council is obvious. Nevertheless, there are other more positive aspects about the village, which is why I tried to balance the article. Regards. Hedpeguyuk
