Crazy Ralph Films

Crazy Ralph Films is a Somerset, PA based independent film production company, started on 2001 by filmmaker Tony Urban. The company is named in honor of the character "Crazy Ralph" who warned teenagers not to visit Camp Crystal Lake in Friday the 13th (film).
Crazy Ralph Films has produced several horror films including Hunting Season, Kottentail, and A Pound of Flesh and Klownz. Kottentail stars Playboy Bunny and star of Girls Next Door Bridget Marquardt and was released worldwide on October 3, 2006 by Brain Damage Films and Maxim Media Marketing. The company also handled post-production services on Swamp Zombies which stars Jasmin St. Claire and Dan Severn.
Tony Urban has been discussed in publications such as Fangoria, Rue Morgue, Creature-Corner, Arrow in the Head, Variety, and Hollywood Reporter. The company has also been profiled in two books, Screenwriting on the Internet and Making Friday The 13th: The Legend Of Camp Blood.[verification needed]
2006 is planned to see the release of several of their productions including The Shrieking which was co-produced by Crazy Ralph Films and North Caronlina's Funhouse Pictures.

Tony Urban was born in 1977 in Somerset, Pennsylvania. At 20 years of age he co-wrote his first comedy Poor White Trash, which was filmed in Southern Illinois and which starred Sean Young, Jaime Pressly, Jason London, and William Devane. The film premiered at the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Colorado and frequently airs on HBO, Cinemax, and Comedy Central. Reel.com named the movie one of the top 10 overlooked films of 2001.[citation needed] In 2000 Urban made his directorial debut with the low budget thriller High Point. Eight months later he followed it up with the comedy Losing Hope.
He subsequently directed several films including Hunting Season, Kottentail, Klownz, and A Pound of Flesh. Through Crazy Ralph Films, Urban handled post-production services on the action/horror film Swamp Zombies which starred Jasmin St. Claire and Dan Severn. Urban frequently works as a producer and co-produced The Shrieking, Midnight Snack, and A Spider Beside Her and is business partners with Shawn Hunt who runs North Carolina's Funhouse Pictures. Aside from filmmaking, Urban is a writer and journalist and has written over 125 published magazine articles. He is an avid horror movie fan. [verification needed]
