Crazy Dumbsaint
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
crazy dumbsaint is an eclectic four-piece rock band based in Portland, Oregon and drawing from such styles as British rock, psychedelic rock, math rock, art rock, emo, Americana, Delta blues, jazz, IDM and others. Originally formed in San Diego, California in 1998, lead singer/guitarist/pianist Scott Jeffries relocated to San Francisco in 2000 before settling in Portland in 2003 and assembling their current lineup of guitarist Paul Notley, bassist Sam Taulbee and drummer Scott Melville. Their name was lifted from a line in Jack Kerouac's Belief and Technique for Modern Prose, "Be crazy dumbsaint of the mind."
The band is expected to begin recording on a new EP, tentatively titled The Sunset EP, in June, 2006.
