- ACTIVITIES -

My most constant activity here is review and improvement of heavy weaponry related articles. Currently I plan to review a few articles for factual accuracy and completeness, and work on sufficient coverage of notable military ships. I can be somewhat short of time to do complete overhauls alone, but, if you are writing or editing an article concerning heavy weapons, especially ships, or are just interested, feel free to ask me, as I'd be glad to help with information, as well as editing.

A couple months ago the Submarine article had lost its featured article status, which its context deserves, so I'm making significant changes. If you feel you can help, not necessarily in technical aspects, but at least by reviewing it for readability or adding references, it would be very useful.

I'm also a member of the Mediation Cabal, and work on resolving article-related disputes. If you have difficulties with one, you can file a MedCab case or just ask me, and I'll do my best to resolve it. I also can always help with a case you're involved in as a participant or mediator, just leave a message. The only thing I'd prefer to keep away is holy wars about naztional spelling of measurement units. Just if you are interested, I prefer the international standarts, and spelling is too much a matter of habit.

The Wikipedia Neutrality Project is the initiative I'm most concerned with. It started only a couple monts ago as a system for maintaining neutrality of the articles in Wikipedia, resolving POV-related disputes, and just helping to make articles better in this aspect. You can always ask for some help, and, if neutrality of Wikipedia is also a concern for you, I suggest you visit the project page and consider joining the WNP.

- PERSONAL -

Currently my job is connected with construction of naval weaponry. I also have experience in computer maintenance from student times, which made me familiar with older operating systems, and therefore allowed me to feel comfortable with Unix, QNX and CP/M based control programs, which I frequently use even today.

Concerning any religious/ideological/political/etc positions, I am not in any way religious, and also don’t believe in any "great ideas", whatever they might be. My position in this subject is agnostic, what can briefly be described as "I do not make beliefs".

- CABAL -

It's a list of cases I'm working with, mostly just for myself, but sometimes taking a glance and posting an opinion would be useful.

- IN PROGRESS -

Wikipedia:Mediation Cabal/Cases/2006-10-04 Derek Acorah - Possibly an easy one, as one of the sides seems inactive, self-resolving the situation.

- RESOLVED -

Wikipedia:Mediation Cabal/Cases/2006-07-25 House Made of Dawn - The case discusses what to do with analysis and interpretations of this book. Due to civility of editors, the case was quickly resolved, and decision was to split it and introduce a brief summary in the article. Solution not yet implemented, though, but consensus is reached.

Wikipedia:Mediation Cabal/Cases/2006-07-15 The Atlantic Paranormal Society/Ghost Hunters - Four people work on the two articles for a long time. It's not obvious to understand what each wanted, but seems that some cooled discussion and suggestions removed all unconstructive disputes.

Wikipedia:Mediation Cabal/Cases/2006-07-05 Moscow - Relatively simple question of what external references are preferable and how much are they required.

Wikipedia:Mediation Cabal/Cases/2006-06-18 Many-worlds interpretation - This case turned out to resolve mostly by itself, as the editors didn't have firm positions.

Wikipedia:Mediation Cabal/Cases/2006-07-12 Solar Updraft Tower - The question of comparisons and criticism in relation to Enviromission corporation, the primary developer. Currently generally complete.

- FAILED -

Wikipedia:Mediation Cabal/Cases/2006-07-25 2006 Israel-Lebanon_conflict - The debate about what links should the article include, specifically in relation to the external links guideline. One of the parties was not satisfied with the process and suspected me to be in favor of another, so it was decided it would be finished by another mediator. Mediation was attempted by another mediator, but stalled. One of the parties forwarded the case to the Arbitration Committee. Resolved by the ArbCom.

- UNCYCLOPEDIC -

This page probably looks like a mess: I don't pay nearly as much attention to my user page as to any of the articles, and renew it only occasionally, without a consistent plan. Feel free to edit it if you like, either in content or design. It's not private property, and I'm here to improve the encyclopedia, not promote myself. Or even vandalyze, if this can help your stress; I reserve the right to revert excessively stupid vandalism, though, and to move vandalised parts around.

- No connection to real name.

- He, it, she, they, ey, sie - at your will, interchangeably. If you have enough sense of humor to make it ambiguous, "it" would be a good choice for informal situations.
