Oops, I had created Covenant (musical group) when I couldn't find a preexisting article from Covenant. I had since created a disambiguation page (Covenant (disambiguation), pointing to the stub I had created. I'm going to redirect Covenant (musical group) here and fix the disambig to also point here. Should a VfD be put forth for Covenant (musical group) once that's done? - Korpios 02:31, 20 Jun 2004 (UTC)

I think it's worth pointing out that this Covenant isn't the only band named Covenant: there's also a German death-metal (or something like that) band by the same name. The article name should probably be altered to reflect this. --01:02, 17 Aug 2004 (UTC)
The German band is known as The Kovenant. --Idont Havaname 04:43, 26 Nov 2004 (UTC)
Kovenant is not even german, they are Norwegian. And for that mater Covenant isn't german either. Ramius V. Schweitzer 19:39, Nov 26, 2004 (UTC)
I think the article would need a mention of The Kovenant and that Nexus Polaris is not a record of the "real" Covenant. --195.148.191.82 23:10, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

As per discussion on Talk:Assemblage 23 and Category talk:Goth, removing from Category:Goth and adding to List of non-goth musical artists popular within goth subculture. - Korpios 02:08, 20 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Restoring - see Category talk:goth - David Gerard 19:39, 20 Jun 2004 (UTC)

[edit] clean up questiton

in my opinion, the listing of the singles and EP's is important, though I don't feel it necessary to create files for all the singles and their track listings/lengths. I would assume to go ahead with creating files for the EP's, however, and moving the track listings over. PLEASE ADVISE.

Ramius V. Schweitzer 01:05, Nov 26, 2004 (UTC)

  • It's a complicated matter, but I would say that it's uncessary to place the EPs anywhere. Well, at least that's what I have done in Children of Bodom. The albums are vital, but EPs (specially Covenant's) just contain remixes and things like that. In my opinion, axe it. It's useless clutter. Anyway, are you are going to take the role of the "official" mantainer of Covenant? If you are, congrats. We really need better articles on Scandinavian bands. :) --Sn0wflake 02:13, 27 Nov 2004 (UTC)
Thanks for the input, as for official maintainer... no. i started with Covenant becasue it seemed the easiest to 'fix', i really don't listen to them that much, not saying that i wouldn't mind getting more of their stuff. I'm headed over to Depeche Mode next... Ramius V. Schweitzer 02:56, Nov 27, 2004 (UTC)
  • To let you guys know, if anyone out there cares :), I will creating files for all the singles and EPs by Covenant. If the list on this page becomes too tedious, we can always start a page called Covenant Discography.The-dissonance-reports 20:02, 11 December 2005 (UTC)
You mean "files" as in articles and not as in audio files, correct? Joshfist 22:35, 11 December 2005 (UTC)
YeahThe-dissonance-reports 00:47, 12 December 2005 (UTC)
Would it be more convenient to make one page listing all the tracks and such rather than have individual pages for everything? A setup like that would likely be more easily browsable and readable. Joshfist 18:27, 12 December 2005 (UTC)
Well, I think the standard way to have pages for albums on Wikipedia includes an album pages, with an "album infobox" and an album template in the discussion secion of the article. An example is X Marks the Pedwalk's Drawback (album), the entire chronology of which I've been working on for awhile, but this particular article is nicely detailed!The-dissonance-reports 21:18, 12 December 2005 (UTC)
Oh yeah, and there are some articles about a single song only, but usually those are reserved for very popular songs (i.e., stuff by the Beatles, etc.) Elvis and Celine Dion have their own discography pages, but also individual pages for their albums. I've been working on a similar project with Wumpscut, titled, List of Works by Rudy Ratzinger. Anyway, there is no reason why we cannot have a combination of at least lists and individual album pages, Covenant has enough material to warrant both.The-dissonance-reports 21:23, 12 December 2005 (UTC)
Just wanted to add: the page you linked for Ratzinger is well done. Joshfist 03:51, 15 December 2005 (UTC)

Thanks a lot, your work on the VAC/Bryan page is great! Rudy's page is far from over though, I have to add links to the original albums.The-dissonance-reports 05:11, 15 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Main image

Unfortunately, I could not find a larger version of Image:Covenantebm.jpg, so I replaced it for the time being with a sizeable photo that also profiles the band's members. —Joshfist 14:08, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

I like this picture better anyway! (I was the one who uploaded the other one :) The-dissonance-reports 16:34, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
