[edit] 2008 and then 2008?
A photographer takes the family picture on the couch, which becomes a series of family portraits from 2006 to 2013; Marge is widowed in 2008, and Homer is replaced by a robot in 2008. The 2013 photo has everybody as a robot.
Now I've seen that episode, and one of the pictures did have Marge looking like a widow (All-black), with Homer missing. Then another one shows a robot. I did not happen in the same one, that I am sure of. 16:11, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
- From this description, it sounds like these happen in separate years. I wonder why it says 2008 both times...

Is there any reason why this article isn't located at couch gag? —Mulad (talk) 23:26, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
- It looks like that currently redirects here now.
[edit] Adding episode titles to all the gags?
The list of gags is quite impressive. Even so, listing the episode number beside each of the gags would make this article more comprehensive. Any true Simpsoniacs willing to take on the endeavour? While I'm a big fan, I just watch it on TV which means I never know the number, and reruns are always out of order. We need someone with a huge DVD collection of them all to do it :p Tyciol 11:47, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
Not to fear, I'll get to work on it, though it may take a few days. For future reference, SNPP.com is a super-big depository of Simpsons info. You'll find episode numbers there, among many other things. - Josh
[edit] Major Cleanup
Hi all, I brought over my formatting from chalkboard gag, makes for a nice clean list... bare with me over the next couple days, if you take a look at Chalkboard gag you'll see what I'm doing... if someone gets bored, feel free to grab a season & load up SNPP or TV.com & fill in the blanks... - Adolphus79 02:16, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
- I was actually in the process of redoing the list in the same way you're doing it, though I was doing it in Word and was gonna add the whole thing all at once. One difference between your list and mine was that, when a couch gag is repeated, I simply list it as "Repeat of XXXX's couch gag." This gives the reader an more immediate idea of which are repeats, and of how many per season are generally repeats. I'm going to add what I've done so far and if you have any objection to mine in comparison to yours, we can change it back. I also corrected some inaccurate information in the actual article and added some new stuff. - Josh
- hehe... someone found my chalkboard gag cleanup... very nice work Josh, looks great... just a little esthetic cleanup... and don't forget to wikify the list... - Adolphus79 03:34, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
Hey, me again. I'll keep working on the list itself over the next day or two. It's easier for me to edit in Word and then copy and paste to Wikipedia, except that makes it more of a pain to wikify as I edit. I was planning on wikifying after I got the whole list up, but you can get started and then I'll join in after the list itself is finished. Also, I think it may make more sense, both here and on the chalkboard gag list, to be using episode titles instead of dates. I'll keep doing the list with the dates for now though, that's a decision that can be made later. - Josh
- no worries... if you can fill in the blanks, I can go in and do the minor stuff... - Adolphus79 06:09, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
OK... the main part is done, now the minor edits as people check it over the next couple days... Thanks for the help Josh and Xls... - Adolphus79 04:08, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Wikiproject: Simpsons
OK... Anyone interested in helping cleanup the Simpsons information, join the WikiProject... if we can all work together, instead of different editors working on different pages, we can get all the Simpsons information on all of Wikipedia organized... - Adolphus79 04:51, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] S14/15
LOL I went to edit, sat down for an hour and added S14 and S15, then I go to save, and someone had just added them... gah! (random editor grief post of the day...) - Adolphus79
Yeah, I got attacked by schoolwork and couldn't get to S14-17. I was consulting the couch gag list at SNPP.com as I did S1-13 but made an effort not to use the same wordings, if only to avoid the appearance of a lazy copy-and-paste job. At quick glance, however, whoever filled in Seasons 14 and 15 however, seems to have done just that (i.e. the SNPP.com list uses "everybody" where I, and then you, used "the family"). Those seasons should be reworded a bit, simply for consistency with the seasons you and I did. Feel free to take that on, if you wish; otherwise, I'll get to it when I get to it. Or someone else can do it. Meanwhile, here are similar, but much easier tasks that can be tackled (since there are less seasons to deal with): the varying captions in Futurama's opening sequence and the varying headlines in American Dad's opening sequence. - Josh
- Well, currently, I'm just working on Simpsons stuff... I kinda hijacked the Simpsons WikiProject, and am working to clean up and organize all of the Simpsons information on Wikipedia... now that chalkboard gag and couch gag are done, I'm trying to decide what's next... - Adolphus79 05:19, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] 'This is the only couch gag to continue into the TV credits.'
Since the couch gags first seen in Marge's Son Poisoning and We're on the Road to D'ohwhere both have music playing that continues over the TV, is this totally true?
