Court of Current Issues
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Court of Current Issues was a TV series aired in the United States on the now-forgotten DuMont Television Network.
This was a public-affairs and debate series broadcast live on Tuesday nights (1948-1951). It was initially a 30 minute program, but was extended to 60 minutes in 1949.
The series lasted three seasons, and was scheduled opposite Uncle Miltie's popular Texaco Star Theater on rival network NBC. Because of the competition, this series never received a wide following, and was quietly cancelled in the summer of 1951. The last broadcast was on June 26, 1951.
