Courage Meets the Mummy is a very well-received Courage the Cowardly Dog episode. It is one of the few historical stories, featuring a living mummy wanting revenge against ancestors of the Princess and Pumbaa who got him executed.

[edit] Plot

Professor Frith returns, warning the Bagges that a living mummy is after them because Eustace's ancestor was the Pumbaa to the Princess who was Muriel's ancestor. The Pumbaa framed the baker, and the Princess ordered him mummification. Now the mummy has risen from the dead, wanting revenge. Courage hypnotizes Eustace and Muriel into thinking that they are the Pumbaa and the Princess so what happened could be reversed. The mummy arrives, and Courage proves to the 'Princess' that the baker was innocent. The mummy forgives her and leaves with Eustace's favourite sheet.

[edit] Trivia
