County Route 609 (Ocean County, New Jersey)

County Route 609 is a county highway in Ocean County, New Jersey. The highway extends 3.85 miles from the intersection of Bay Avenue (CR 554) and U.S. Route 9 to the intersection of U.S. Route 9 and Barnegat Boulevard in Barnegat Township. The highway runs along the bay front and reverses direction, forming a U-shape much like Route 36. The highway has no official signage, but contractors apparently thought Barnegat Boulevard was apart of CR 609, because one piece of signage has turned up at a recent signal modification.
