From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Dutchess County Route 29 is a signed county road between NY-376 and NY-52. The county road is one of few in Dutchess County that allows passing and has a 45 mph (72 kph) speed limit, as opposed to the regular 40. At its northern terminus, southbound 376 traffic can go straight onto 29 or right to continue on 376. Northbound 376 must turn right to get on 29, or left for through traffic. Twenty-nine continues for 1,500 feet as "Hillside Lake Road" before turning right to become Clove Branch Road. Hillside Lake Road designation goes on to CR-36. The road heads south to NY-82 and past CR-9. The road then becomes Carpenter Road, intersects with the Taconic State Parkway, then ends at Route 52.
