County Road 606 (Indian River County, Florida)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

County Road 606 is a 5.2-mile-long east-west road in southern Indian River County, Florida. It is a predominantly rural highway locally known as Oslo Road, and was formerly State Road 606. The road's western terminus is an intersection with Monroe Road/66th Avenue (CR 615) admidst the orange groves of rural central Florida; the eastern terminus of CR 606 is an intersection with US 1 (SR 5) in Oslo, roughly midway between Fort Pierce and Vero Beach.

While CR 606 is primarily a rural road dedicated to the orange industry, the eastern half (east of Emerson Road/SR 607) has been showing signs of urbanization as suburban residential developments are being constructed in response to increasing population demands of both Vero Beach and Fort Pierce.
