Cottesmore, Rutland

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Cottesmore is a village in the county of Rutland in the East Midlands of England. In 2001, it had a population of 3,195 and is the largest village in population, in Rutland, and the third largest settlement after Oakham and Uppingham. This is due in part to the presence of RAF Cottesmore. The village is famous for fox hunting and the Cottesmore Hunt takes its name from the village.
