Cotillion Handicap
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Cotillion Handicap is a race for thoroughbred race horses run at Philadelphia Park Racetrack on the first Saturday in October. It's open to filles and mares, age three and up, willing to race one and one-sixteenth miles on the dirt. The Grade II event carries a purse of $500,000.
This race, which was inaugurated in 1969 and has produced five Eclipse Award winners, is now called the Fitz Dixon Cotillion Breeders' Cup Handicap.
