"And here's what's wrong with Wikipedia: (1) this article has the wrong birth year (1920, NOT 1922), (2) the wrong list of nicknames (never "C.V.," but Woody, Wood, or Woodsy, (3) NOT the Chief Designer of Disneyland, as he had nothing to do with design, but the first general manager and vice president, oversee the project, lessees, employment, promotion, and outside sales, (4) the air craft manufacture was located in San Diego, not Texas, (5) he was not born in Texas, rather in Oklahoma, (6) One of the non-Disney theme parks lasted longer than "a few years," as Pleasure Island was open for 10 (1959-1969), and (7) Aside from Freedomland, Wood never really worked as a designer, more as a consultant, salesman, and packager, which sometimes meant he hired designers."

• As near as I can tell, "Woody" or some variation was his nickname, and widely used it was; but C.V. also, perhaps in more formal settings. For instance, the building in Lake Havasu City is the "CV Wood Aquatic Center", not the "Woody Wood Aquatic Center" and so forth; also per this site "("C.V.," "Wood," or "Woody," depending on the time of day and mood he was in)", etc.
• I can't now come up with the citation for his birthdate. I'm sure I saw it somewhere - I didn't just make it up - but if I'm wrong, fine, then 1920. It doesn't say in the article where he was born.
• I know he worked in San Diego but I think he worked in Texas before that.
• I think 10 years is "a few" for an entity with the cost and hopeful prospects of Pleasure Island; and the others had an even shorter run.
• As for the rest, fine; fix it. I got most of my information from the locations referenced in the Notes section, but if anyone has better information, that's great, fix away. Herostratus 04:31, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
