Corio was the original aboriginal name for the land around Geelong. The suburb now called Corio used to named Cowie (there was almost nothing there at the time) and the name "Corio" only appeared after G.G.S. moved to a site it called "Corio". —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 203.19.252.190 (talkcontribs).
