Coryphantha (from Greek, ""flowering on the top") is a genus of small to middle-sized, globous to short-columnar cacti. The genus is found from Mexico to the South of the United States. With its 2 subgenera, 42 species and 9 subspecies, this is one of the largest genus of cactus.
Their bodies do not have ribs, but tubercles.
