Corrado Ursi

Corrado Ursi (1908-2003)was the Roman Catholic archbishop of Naples, Italy from 1966 until retirement in 1987, at which point he was named archbishop emeritus. He was born in Andria where he attended high school and seminary, then continuing his education at the regional Papal Seminary in Molfetta. He was ordained on July 25, 1931. He was appointed bishop of Nardò in 1951 by Pope Pius XII, a post that he held for 10 years. In 1961 he was transferred to the diocese of Acerenza by Pope John XXIII and in 1966 appointed archbishop of Naples by Pope Paul VI. He died on August 29, 2003.
