Corduroy (book)

Corduroy is a 1968 book written by Don Freeman, and published by Viking Press. It tells the story of a teddy bear named Corduroy, who is bought in a toy shop by a girl named Lisa. Among Corduroy's other friends at the store are Buckaroo the horse and Rosetta the rat.

The story was adapted into a television series in 2000. The story was shown on PBS Kids' Bookworm Bunch until it was cancelled with Elliot Moose. The show was a Jamaican Caribbean show since Lisa and her mum were from Jamaica. It was directed by Louis Piche and Larry Jacobs.
