Cordillera de Talamanca

The Cordillera de Talamanca is a range of mountains that lies on the border between Costa Rica and Panama. Much of the range and the area around it is included in the La Amistad International Park, which also is shared between the two countries.

This range contains the highest peaks of Costa Rica and Panama the Cerro Chirripó at 3,819 metres, and the more accessible second highest peak, Cerro de la Muerte. Some areas of the range are still unexplored.
