Corazón salvaje was the second film adaptation of the novel of the same name written by Caridad Bravo Adams and published in 1957 and considered the closest to the original story.
The first film was made as in 1956 and starred by Martha Roth. The 1968 version was starred by Julio Alemán in the role of "Juan del Diablo" and Angélica María in the role of Mónica Molnar who made her a star in China and would later repeat her role in the 1977 telenovela version.
