Copper Square

Copper Square is the nickname given to the downtown area of Phoenix, Arizona. It was given the name Copper Square as a recognition that Arizona is known for being rich in copper minerals and also because the lightposts and stoplights are painted a copper color. Copper square extends from 7th Avenue to 7th Street and from Lincoln Street to McDowell Road.
