Cop Killer (1973) is a novel by Sjöwall and Wahlöö in their detective series revolving around Martin Beck and his team. (Original Swedish title: Polismördaren.)

A woman is found murdered in Anderslöv, near Trelleborg in southern Sweden. Martin Beck is called in to investigate the crime. Meanwhile, a couple of youth criminals kills a policeman when they´re stopped driving a stolen car. While Martin Beck investigates the murder of the woman, Gunvald Larsson takes command of the hunt for the cop killers.

Folke Bengtsson, the killer from the first Sjöwall and Wahlöö novel Roseanna returns as a suspect of the murder of the woman.
Hergott Nöjd is introduced as a character. He and Martin Beck develops a friendship during the investigations. Nöjd returns in the next Sjöwall and Wahlöö book The Terrorists
Lennart Kollberg resigns from the police force by the end of this book.
