[edit] Stubs
Hi, I notice you removed the {{UK-tv-channel-stub}} template from a couple of articles to replace them with {{BBC-stub}}. I have since re-added these as we use them in our wikiproject. If they are not in there, those of us who have an unhealthy obsession with British television channels will not know to expand them.
from Wikipedia:Stub#Categorizing stubs, "If an article overlaps two potential categories, two different stub templates may be used, but using more than two is strongly discouraged" as such I have left them both there. cheers MrWeeble Talk Brit tv 21:59, 9 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Image Tagging Image:Simp.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Simp.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{fairusein|article name}} or {{fairuse}}. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks so much. --SCEhardT 04:33, 11 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Welcome to Wikiproject Doctor Who
Hi, and welcome to the wikiproject! Do have a look around at the guidelines on the project page and the articles to get a feel for what we're trying to do here and the parameters of it, and feel free to ask any of us if you have any queries about what to add and stuff. We look forward to your contributions. --khaosworks (talk • contribs) 11:42, 19 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Angel episodes
I like what you have done to the Angel eps, but I'm not sure those images are legal. You might want to be careful with that. Abaraibar 08:22, 20 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned category
Hi there. I notice you recently blanked the category Film Archive stubs. In the future, can you please nominate unneeded categories in Wikipedia:Categories for deletion or request they be speedy deleted with the {{db}} template, whichever is appropriate? Thanks. -- SCZenz 01:42, 23 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] The Trial (Angel episode)
Please upload max. one screenshot per episode, and don't fill episode articles with images. feydey 00:44, 27 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Character names
Please, check imdb, buffyworld, cityofangel.com or dusk til dawn. I changed the character's name because Vail's first name is Cyvus. Check out these links
http://www.buffyworld.com/angel/season5/transcripts/5x18_tran.php http://www.cityofangel.com/media/gallery/thumbnail/cyvusVail_th.jpg --Gonzalo84 19:44, 27 December 2005 (UTC)
The first mention of Vail in wikipedia is in the Circle of the Black Thorn article, where the author used the name Cyvus, not Cyrus. As for Lindsey, yeah, I was wrong. here ut us Imdb's page on Dennis Christopher: http://imdb.com/name/nm0160550/ --Gonzalo84 18:45, 28 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] "Removed unneccessary info from infobox"
Hi, I created the Buffyverse infobox and I don't believe including the date and the series in which the characters appeared (making the distinction between Buffy and Angel) is "unneccessary". It's more clear with that kind of infomation than a single episode name. 11:57, 29 December 2005 (UTC)~
[edit] Buffy and Angel eps
I believe you should be a bit more careful before changing other people's work, especially when your reasons are questionable. You're not alone in this, you know. Abaraibar 13:43, 29 December 2005 (UTC)
- I meant adding 3 screencaps and not 1 or 2 and saying that they are all "essential" or removing "unnecessary info from infobox". I can't see why they're so essential or why it's so unnecessary. Mostly it seems that you're basing those explanations in your viewpoint alone because you don't state other reasons. That's what I mean. But don't get me wrong, I don't want to argue with you, I appreciate your contributions and the screencaps are good quality too. It's just that sometimes when editing we tend to mistake our viewpoint with the Truth, and that's (I think) bad. Abaraibar 09:26, 30 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Betty's Bunch
Hi - please be a bit more careful with some of the stub changes you make. you changed the tv-stub on Betty's Bunch to australia-tv-stub even tho the article says it was a new zealand series. Calling a NZ show australian is like calling an english show french and would get you lynched in some parts of new zealand! :) BL kiss the lizard 23:39, 29 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Watchlisted?
Hi, just wondering, why is my user-page watchlisted by you. If need be, you can unwatch it by visiting it, then clicking the unwatch tab up the top. Thanks, Werdna648T/C\@ 11:47, 2 January 2006 (UTC)
- Copied from User_talk:Werdna648 According to my watchlist I'm not watching your userpage. How does one find out who is watching a specific page? However it is done it appears to be incorrect though. --Cooksey 13:13, 2 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Please be more careful when tagging images as no_source
You tagged an image as {{no source}} that stated it was based on another image, provided a link, and said it was under the same license. This was wrong. You should have looked for the source image, or not tagged the image at all. While I do appreciate and thank you for tagging images, {{no source}}'ed images are speedy deleted, it is very important to take more care. I fixed the image in question, btw. JesseW, the juggling janitor 05:07, 4 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Source for images
Two of the images you uploaded to David Boreanaz do not have sources, which makes it impossible to find/verify licensing. Please add sources so the images aren't removed.
- Image:David boreanaz 09.jpg
- Image:David Boreanaz 2.jpg
Thanks. --Foofy 11:25, 6 January 2006 (UTC)
Cooksey: please do not remove the no source tag unless you have added a source. See Wikipedia:Possibly unfree images. --Foofy 11:07, 7 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] 'List of Buffyverse-related topics' up for deletion
Hiya, you maybe interested in the fate of the following article List of Buffyverse-related topics, it has been designed as a comprehensive list of every topic relating to the Buffyverse, as well as links to discussion and revision histories. It is now up for deletion. If you're interested take a look at the article, and share your opinion in the deletion forumn on whether it should be saved or deleted. -- Paxomen 22:31, 1 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Angel eps
Heya, wanted to congratulate you on amazing work on filling in the infoboxes on the Angel eps, just been surfing through the episodes and noticed all your contributions. You might be interested in this page, that can be used to map progress on the episodes and see where work needs to be done, it hasn't been used very much by project members but that may change:
Wikipedia:WikiProject Buffy/Episodes
The only thing you wanna watch out about is I'm not sure if fair use images of TV screenshots are technically supposed to be used more than once in one article but I'm not sure about this. Keep up the good work -- Paxomen 19:33, 18 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Your RfA
Your adminship nomination didn't achieve consensus. Please look at the reasons voters opposed your nomination and this will be a big aid to succeeding in the future. Many initially failed nominees have gone on to be admins later. Cheers, Cecropia 03:40, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] WikiProject Buffy Checklist
Hiya, just letting some people who regularly work on Buffyverse articles know know there is now a checklist for non-episode articles in place to highlight articles needing work on, and articles coming into completion. It is available at the main project page, since this is where the 'WikiProject Buffy template' on the discussion page of all Buffyverse pages directs people:
It mainly discludes articles since they are dealt with at Wikipedia:WikiProject Buffy/Episodes

[edit] VandalProof 1.2 Now Available
After a lenghty, but much-needed Wikibreak, I'm happy to announce that version 1.2 of VandalProof is now available for download! Beyond fixing some of the most obnoxious bugs, like the persistent crash on start-up that many have experienced, version 1.2 also offers a wide variety of new features, including a stub-sorter, a global user whitelist and blacklist, navigational controls, and greater customization. You can find a full list of the new features here. While I believe this release to be a significant improvement over the last, it's nonetheless nowhere near the end of the line for VandalProof. Thanks to Rob Church, I now have an account on test.wikipedia.org with SysOp rights and have already been hard at work incorporating administrative tools into VandalProof, which I plan to make available in the near future. An example of one such SysOp tool that I'm working on incorporating is my simple history merge tool, which simplifies the process of performing history merges from one article into another. Anyway, if you haven't already, I'd encourage you to download and install version 1.2 and take it out for a test-drive. As always, your suggestions for improvement are always appreciated, and I hope that you will find this new version useful. Happy editing! --AmiDaniel (talk) 02:14, 21 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Marc Blucas 6.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Marc Blucas 6.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Feedback about the article at the forum, on how it might be improved upon is hugely appreciated. After successful improvements to the article, in the near future it may be submitted as a candidate for a featured article. Thanks. -- Paxomen 00:29, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Featured article candidate review: Buffy article
Hi
Just letting WikiProject Buffyverse members know that the article 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' has recently been nominated as a candidate to become a featured article. Should it become a featured article, it will be possible for the article to appear on the Wikipedia main page on March 10th 2007, the 10th anniversary of Buffy (the premiere, "Welcome to the Hellmouth" aired March 10th 1997).
Any feedback you can offer to improve the article and/or to either object or support the nomination would be wonderful:

[edit] Image:Nicholas Brendon 4.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Nicholas Brendon 4.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Combination 17:49, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
