[edit] Hello

Yeah, I'm new, so please don't hate on my User Page! Anyways, a bit about me:

My real name is Scott. About my nickname? A little more about that later, I PROMISE.

I recently turned 24, and graduated from Ashland University of Ashland, OH in May of this year. I moved to Nashville, TN to my parents' house (how cool is that :-/). I have been looking for a job since graduation and have pretty much found that I am either too qualified with my degree in Criminal Justice or out-gunned by a person with more experience at every place that I apply to. Once I finally get a job or die trying, I will update this user page with some good news!

I was born on August 1st, 1982 in Akron, OH, where I lived up until 2004 when my parents moved to Tennessee and I began staying in the city of Ashland during the summers between school years.

From 8/01 to 5/06, I spent my time at Ashland University in Ohio studying criminal justice and psychology. There, I was invited to and joined Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity, which led me to meet the bulk of the friends that I now have.

Interests:

I love Jeep-brand vehicles, even though my 2000 Wrangler TJ has become a lemon (ha). I love video games, movies, cigarettes, and, of course, hangin' with my buddies. Unfortunately, now that I live out of state, all but about three of my friends still live in Ohio, and I never get to see them anymore :(. Oh well...Facebook, Myspace, instant messaging, and my trusty new cel keep me in as much contact as possible short of flying up.

Hope you enjoyed your visit to my user page, as I have enjoyed having you. God that was sappy.

ps: I am still, slowly, gradually, learning the ways of Wikipedia and the Community Portal. Hopefully, one day, I will be able to contribute more to them than just simple edits.

pps: Okay, I promised I would explain the nickname. Honestly, it's quite a simple and rather boring story, but if you must know then I will tell you. When I joined my fraternity, it was a policy (not official; more like a common practice) to give all pledges a nickname. The guys in charge couldn't think of one for me so they asked me what I thought it should be. I mentioned that I used to be called "Scooter" and variations there of, such as "Scoot Digg," in high school, seeing as this is the common nickname for "Scott." They offered that for my nickname in the frat, but I refused, stating that I had been called "Scooter" for so long that I now found it boring and a little annoying. Then one of them, Jeff, suggested that we just lobb off the "S" and call me Cooter. I loved it, and yes, I knew what it meant. Eventually it caught on, and I've loved it since. I still find myself answering the phone as "Cooter," even if the person in the speaker never called me that.

ppps: Oh yeah, and the number 285 is my scroll number in the frat.
