Cool It Now

"Cool It Now" is a 1984 single released by R&B quintet New Edition on the MCA label. Released off their second self-titled album, New Edition, the song was the group's first top ten pop single and the second number one R&B single for the group.
The song is most notable for the rap lead singer Ralph Tresvant gives his fellow band mates after he falls for a girl he meets stating to the members by their names: Ronnie, Bobby, Ricky & Mike/if I like the girl/who cares who you like? The song helped give the group a bigger fan base and helped their second album sell over two million copies.
The song is one of the most adored and requested songs in the group's repertoire to this day.
