Conekt is a famous band from Romania, that fully deserves its Wikipedia page. Read its history, it's all fully explained there.
Meets the needed criterias, such as charted hits (more than 5 weeks on the first place with 2 music videos); has an international cd label; is currently working on its second album; has been singing for more than 2 years; one of its members has over 9 years of canto and more than 10 prizes for its voice from specific national festivals; has notable mass-media appearances (even posted some links); currently participating in a very important national festival which is going to take place in one month; all the members personally give dance lessons to whomever is interested; many mass-media given interviews, etc.
In the end, I must add that I can prove all said above with video recordings and captures from tv, professional photos, newspapers articles, interviews, songs, and so on. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Pyuric (talk • contribs).
- I agree. I've removed the CSD. I've also added a few tags, one for Neutrality, the article isn't written from a neutral point of view. The article is also not verified with appropriate citations. And furthermore, the article is not written in an encyclopaedic tone. Any questions about these, feel free to post them here, or ask me on my talk page. - FrancisTyers · 23:54, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
Ok, I am working on these, now I know what more has to be fixed, what is wrong and has to be removed. I've removed the unofficial tone as much as I could (hopefully, all of it), quote if I missed anything. I'm still new here - until now I was only using the informations found, so thanks for the tips, cause i still have to learn a lot. --Pyuric 08:52, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
Right, I don't know much about this area so I can't be a great help. I can point you to Wikipedia:WikiProject Music who seem to have quite a comprenhensive style guide, and if you ask on their talk page they may give you some ideas. I think you might have a problem with some of the pictures you have used because some of them seem to be fair use and not GFDL. See WP:COPY. In terms of article layouts you can look at, see Franz Ferdinand (band) which seems to be quite well structured. - FrancisTyers · 10:30, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
i'm a romanian teen and i can tell you, nobody gives a rat's behind about this band :| video captures don't count 'couse u just have to have a nice wad of cash and you're set. so i say this is just a waste of space. honestly, THEY DON'T EVEN EXIST as a "band". there's hundreds of charts, u can make one and say it's famous! seriously, trim some of the info off of here, it's not even space-worthy.Djsnoop 22:41, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
oh come off it, they're working on their second album, they'll have their third video, they won a prize at the mamaia festival, they're going to sign with Cat Music ... so Yes, i think they DO deserve this page. Pyuric 23:50, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Images
All images were copyright violations. Please do not reinsert. By the way this article is a complete joke: unreferenced cruft. Pascal.Tesson 04:12, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
I edited them personally , I have the copyrights, I have their approvement.. What else do I need? /:) Are you kidding me? /:) And yes, now i finished inserting the references. Happy? Pyuric 00:47, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
I highly doubt that you hold copyrights for images which are clearly screen captures from TV. You're telling me that you have written authorisations from all these TV channels to use the images? Are you kidding me? Pascal.Tesson 10:11, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
No, but i do have THEIR authorisation, and they have the recordings from all the televisions + the authorisation to use them as they want, cause it's their image. So it's the same thing. And what about the rest of the pictures? /:)Pyuric 22:42, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
- Hello. I read through this rather confrontational conversation with a little consternation. I think that maybe Pyuric is not fully familiar with the Wikipedia:Image use policy and that a quiet read through that may solve the problem without all this unnecessary accusation. Also, I think that we all need to read Wikipedia:Assume good faith periodically in order to remind us to avoid emotive phrases like "a complete joke"...
- This is not meant as a criticism, as I'm sure you're both acting in good faith ;-)
