[edit] Origins of Constructive Living
Dr. Reynolds combined practices of both Shoma Morita, Morita Therapy and Naikan in a manner more suitable for and accessible to Western, English speaking individuals, although Constructive Living now has a large and active following in Japan and other countries.
In a series of books, audio tapes, public appearances, workshops and certification programs, Dr. Reynolds has defined and clarified his ideas over more than 25 years as well as training certified "teachers" to help others learn the practical applications of Constructive Living.

Constructive Living is a collection of practical ideas that help an individual to live more effectively.
A famous Constructive Living maxim is "Accept your emotions as they are and do what needs to be done."
Constructive Living is not a psychological "school."

Dr. Reynolds was invited by the government of China and the World Health Organization to teach Constructive Living to psychiatry professionals in China.
Constructive Living has been featured in many magazines and newspapers including O, the Oprah Magazine[1].
Constructive Living is a registered trademark. This fact is cited to prevent unauthorized individuals from claiming that they teach Constructive Living.
