Constitution of the Ukrainian People's Republic
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Constitution of Ukrainian People's Republic (Ukrainian: Конституція Української Народної Республіки, Konstytutsiya Ukrayinskoii Narodnoii Respubliky) is a constitutional document approved by the Central Rada on 29 April 1918, but never announced. Hence the document never acquired the legal power and remained forever as an important document from the period of the Ukrainian state 1917-1918.
[edit] Structure
The Constitution's main principle was separation of powers. This is not surprising given that it was modeled after democratic constitutions of Europe and the United States.[1]
