Constance McCashin

Constance McCashin (born June 18, 1947 in Chicago) is an American actress.
She is best known for her role as Laura Avery Sumner on the prime time drama Knots Landing, which she played from the show's debut in 1979 until 1987. In 1987 she was written out of the series due to cost-cutting measures, along with a number of other characters. Her character died of a brain tumour. Although she participated in the 1993 Knots Landing "Block Party" retrospective, she is notable for having boycotted both the 1997 scripted reunion and 2005 unscripted reunion specials.
McCashin also appeared in several episodes of the series Brooklyn Bridge playing the part of Rosemary Monahan.
