Constance Coltman was the first woman ordained by the Congregational Union of England and Wales when she was ordained in 1917. Her candidacy for the Ministry of Word and Sacraments was tested and accepted by the King's Weigh House congregation in Mayfair, London. Her last pastorate was Cowley Road Congregational Church in Oxford.
