Conor O'Clery

Conor O'Clery was the North America correspondent for The Irish Times, a national newspaper in the Republic of Ireland. He was previously the correspondent for Moscow (in 1980s) and Beijing. O'Clery was born in Belfast and educated at the Queen's University of Belfast. He worked for the Irish Times for 26 years and won several awards, including Journalist of the Year in Ireland in 1987. O'Clery has written a number of books on Irish politics and autobiographical works on his life in Moscow and the US.
