Conor Flaherty was a fictional character in the popular BBC soap opera EastEnders. He was played by Sean Gleeson.
He first appeared in 1997 when his aunt Pauline Fowler tracked him and his mum Maggie Flaherty down in Ireland after she discovered Maggie was the sister she had never known about. Conor also had a daughter, Mary Flaherty, from his first marriage but he never got on with her.
When Mary decided she wanted to move to to Walford with Pauline, Conor also followed her to Walford. In Walford he worked as a mechanic for Phil Mitchell and as a loan shark 'heavy' for Annie Palmer. He tried to compete for Annie's affections along with Phil Mitchell but Annie wasn't interested.
He then fell for his cousin Mark Fowler's wife Ruth after her marriage to Mark was falling apart. Eventually Conor had an affair with Ruth leading to Ruth becoming pregnant with his child.
After Ruth left Mark, she and Conor decided to move to Scotland for a new life, so they left Walford in February 1999.
