Route 70 is a 10.92-mile long state highway in the U.S. state of Connecticut, connecting the towns of Cheshire and Meriden. The western half of the route is an important road linking the Greater New Haven area with the Waterbury area. Route 70 begins at Interstate 84 in Cheshire, crosses Route 10, and continues into the city of Meriden, ending at Route 71. Within Cheshire, there is a 2.9 mile overlap with Route 68, including the junction with Route 10.
